PREVIOUS TATTOOING
If you have previous tattooing from another technician, please inform us before booking. We will require a photo and details such as; how many times you've had this procedure, when your last treatment was, and how much colour is left, if any. A consultation may be required before booking in your procedure. We need to assess the current tattoo to decide if it will be possible to successfully cover and refresh the old style. In some cases, removal may be advised if the tattoo is too dark and saturated to work on. We have your best interest in mind and we strive to give you the best and most natural results possible.
BOTOX & FILLERS
If considering botox, it is best to have your brow tattooing done first. If having botox before your treatment, please do this at least 2 weeks before your appointment or wait until it has settled.
YOUR GOALS
Please explain your goals for your eyebrows or lips as this helps us determine what would be the best option for you
Feather Touch Tattooing, also known as Microblading, is a very natural result and may not be dark or full enough for some people’s expectations. Microblading helps fill in and enhance your natural eyebrows but slight corrections can be made where possible to adjust shape and help with eyebrow symmetry.
The term ‘Ombre’ refers to the brows being softer and lighter through the front of the brow while being more full and defined through the tails. Ombre is better suited to (but not limited to) oiler skin types. If you love the way your brows look after tinting/henna or with a little bit of brow powder then the Ombre look may be perfect for you.
Combination brows are the best of both worlds. This style combines Feather Touch fronts along with a powdered tail. This is a fan favourite as
CLIENT PHOTOS
For over the phone consultations we do require a photo of your eyebrows or lips without any brow products/makeup. For eyebrows If you wish you can also send a photo of your eyebrows with product so we can have a better understanding of your brow goals. With lips you can bring a reference photo or your favourite lip stick to colour match. This gives us a better indication of what will suit you best
Pre Procedure
It is recommended that you have a touch up on all of your cosmetic tattoo treatments 6-12 weeks after your initial session so that your technician can review and make final adjustments if necessary. It is quite common to experience fading and some patchiness after your first visit so we offer the perfecting session so the technician can redefine areas that were lost during the healing period and you can decide to go darker and add to your tattoo if desired.
Please prepare for the colour to be sharper and darker for the first few days following your appointment. Some clients prefer not to plan social events for these first few days as some swelling/redness can occur
LEADING UP TO APPOINTMENT:
If possible, please try to avoid blood thinning medications 72 hrs before your appointment. (Consult your doctor first). This includes ibuprofen, Asprin and fish oil tablets
Avoid alcohol for 24 hrs before your appointment
Avoid caffeine on day of appointment
Brow clients Do not get brows waxed/tinted for 2 weeks prior to your appointment
Lip clients be sure to keep your lips hydrated and exfoliated the week leading up to your appointment

TOPICAL ANAESTHETIC
Please refer to the information provided by your tattooist. Topical anaesthetic is the clients responsibility and can be refused service if not followed correctly.
Aftercare
Eyebrow Tattooing
After your treatment you will need to avoid cleansers, make up, swimming, spas or direct contact with the area until healing has finished. Do not pick, peel or scratch the healing tattoo as it can cause uneven colour and infection. The healing process typically takes 7-10 days, during this time the colour will look more intense. The true colour of your newly tattooed make up will appear at the 3 -4 week mark. For some clients it will be perfect after the first procedure, for others it may be too light or become patchy in some areas. Don't worry - we will perfect the look when you come in for your scheduled touch up appointment in 6-12 weeks time.
To prolong the life of your tattoo, try to avoid AHA products directly on the treated area (lactic/glycolic/citric/retinoid/tartaric acids) or any OTC creams and lotions for tone correcting, anti-aging and exfoliating as this can fade and discolour your tattoo.
An aftercare take home pack will be provided for you which includes your aftercare cream and a few things to help you through the healing process.
WHAT TO DO
Apply extremely thin layers of barrier cream 2 times a day for first 7 days. (Size of a rice grain is plenty)
Clean your eyebrows gently with a baby wipe for the first 2-3 days. They can start to look very dirty and oily so it’s important to remove the excess to help them heal
Do not worry if some of the colour comes out when applying cream or while cleaning, this can happen and is normal.
The colour will be intense for the first 5 days, then will become very patchy and will peel off in sections. They will appear much lighter, maybe even too light. Please wait until the 3 week mark to see the true colour. If you look closely, you may notice some colour return by the third week.
Sunscreen is advised to protect brows from fading once healed
Lip Blushing
The lips MUST be kept moist throughout the first 5 days after the procedure by applying aftercare ointment to their lips with a cotton tip (NOT YOU’RE FINGERS)
Lipstick can be worn only after all the scab has flaked off.
You MUST clean the fluid off your lips for the first 24 hours with a wet cotton pad. This will ensure their lips don't dry with a heavy crust that can encourage pigment out of the skin.
Do not to eat spicey or acidic foods for a few days as this can sting the lips.
If you get cold sores, on day 4 you are likely to have a breakout which could be from mild to severe. The best approach is to either get a prescription for
'VALTREX' from a doctor or go to their local pharmacist and ask for 'FAMVIR' both of these medications are anti-viral to help minimise or halter a viral breakout like herpes. The colour almost completely disappears by day 5 to 6 but slowly resurfaces over the next 6 weeks. This is why you must wait the full 6 weeks before tattoo touch up
You may experience Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation after the procedure. This can look very dark to begin with and spotty but will usually fix itself within 12 weeks. Touch up is not recommended for these clients until the 12 week if you experience this
FAQ
DOES IT HURT?
Anaesthetic can be applied before the procedure to ensure you are comfortable. This is at your own risk and expense due to new laws. Every person's pain threshold is different, but personal circumstances such as a recent cold/flus, stress levels and your menstrual cycle can sometimes impact your comfort during the procedure. It is important to us that your experience is as pain free as possible, so we will try to assist in every way we can.
HOW LONG WILL MY BROWS LAST?
This can depend on you. The feather touch tattooing does not last as long as powder or ombre style tattoos. This is because we are creating very delicate hair strokes to achieve the most natural looking brows possible. Individual and lifestyle factors can affect the tattoo such as sun exposure, some skin creams/moisturisers, exfoliating treatments and medications can affect how the tattoo will fade. Ombré and powder brow styles can last anywhere from 1 - 3 years also depending on skin, lifestyle and aftercare. It is recommended that you return for a refresh treatment every 12 months to keep the brows looking fresh and defined.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE?
You must be at least 18 years old to have cosmetic tattooing, even with parental consent.
CAN I HAVE THIS TREATMENT DONE WHILE PREGANT?
Unfortunately, we cannot treat women who are pregnant. Is also not reccomended to have done while breastfeeding if anaestheic is being used.
WHO CAN'T HAVE A COSMETIC TATTOO TREATMENT?
We aren’t able to provide treatment to people with certain allergies or illnesses, or who are taking certain medications. These include:
Autoimmune or communicable diseases.
Keloid Scarring.
Certain allergies
Lithium – cosmetic tattoos have been shown not to hold well in people who take this medication.

WHAT MAY REQUIRE A DOCTORS LETTER OF APPROVAL?
If you are Diabetic
Heart problems
High or Low Blood Pressure
